Oxytocin, often dubbed the "love hormone" or "bonding hormone," plays a crucial role in social bonding, childbirth, and maternal behavior. Released in response to physical touch, childbirth, and positive social interactions, it fosters trust, empathy, and attachment. Beyond its role in relationships, oxytocin influences various physiological processes, including reducing stress and promoting feelings of contentment and relaxation.
